1200++ miles away :’)

thank God for technology! we are now 1200++ miles away, different islands, different time zones that we used to be a couple rooms away a couple months ago. even with Gladys, I was just 4 inches away as we had coupled beds back then. we skyped and just did some catch-ups. we had bad internet connection but still, we enjoyed our 20-something-minute catch-up tonight. ๐Ÿ™‚

birthday is not a matter of cake or gifts, it’s a reminder of how we should learn to number our days, yeah it’s been 22 years, 22 years of learning to be more like my Creator. I am far from perfect. I am far from good. Well, as a matter of fact, no one is either one.

Thank you for the gifts, thank you for the cake, thank you for the wishes, thank you for the prayers. More than those you gave, thank you for being around and remembering.

May God bless you all more abundantly! ๐Ÿ˜€

Snickerdoodles baking! :D

my dorm team and I were planning to have weekend activity baking on Saturday morning, and last night we tried out the recipe and baked some cookies as test batch.

we baked snickerdoodles!ย Aย snickerdoodleย is a kind of sugar cookies, which the special thing about this cookie is that we put some cinnamon to the sugar as we rolled the dough into.

here is the recipe for Snickerdoodles!

1 1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup margarine or butter softened (2 sticks)

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 eggs

2 3/4 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp cream of tartar (found in spices section of grocery store)

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

Heat oven to 400 degrees F. In large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients; blend well. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; blend well. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; roll balls in sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
